R.B. Singh Guliani

Founder & Managing Director

PCI was founded and is led by R.B. Singh Guliani. Under his direction the practice has grown from a specialist bridge-design office into an independent consultancy that authorities and contractors return to for challenging sites and structures.

His work on long-span and aesthetically pleasing bridges has been recognised nationally — with the National Design Award in Prestressed Concrete — and presented at the world’s leading bridge-engineering forums, including IABSE, fib & ARCH.

Sanjenthong Bridge

A 56 m steel bowstring arch where engineering meets aesthetics.

The slender 280 m balanced-cantilever bridge over the River Chenab at Akhnoor, seen from the river

Chenab Bridge

Among India's longest free-cantilever spans — 160 m, and an ICI award winner.

3D rendering of the Lamphelpat bridge in Imphal: an extradosed bridge with diamond pylons and fanned cable stays over calm water

Lamphelpat Bridge

Bridge design as pure aesthetic expression in the north-east hills.

A 120 m free-cantilevered integral span, with aesthetics built in.

Shelf Designs

These are the projects that did not see the light of the day because of reasons such as administrative sanctions, budget constraints under a particular head, and approvals — but for which the DPR / detailed engineering was completed and submitted. Render views of structures finalized for adoption for detailed engineering / DPR are presented:

Rendering of the new Dawki bridge: a white through arch carrying the road over the forested Umngot gorge

Dawki Bridge

A 125 m steel through arch — competitive, and led by aesthetics.

Rendering of the proposed bowstring arch bridge over the River Umiam at Shella, its gold hangers set against a sunset sky

Umiam Bridge

A river crossing at Shella in the southern hills of Meghalaya.

Rendering of the diagonal-net arch footbridge over the gorge at Zarwani Falls, its golden arch mirrored in the still water below

Zarwani Falls Foot Bridge
